Ministry of the Month
LutheranFCU was established specifically to be both good for you and good for the church. During October, when you make qualifying purchases of $1,517 on your debit or credit cards, or when you take out a new auto, home or personal loan with LutheranFCU, LutheranFCU will provide a cash reward back to you AND that same cash reward back to the Ministry of the Month.
Concordia Historical Institute works to preserve the archives and history of The LCMS. From its beginning in 1847, the Synod has provided for its archives, first entrusting the responsibility for maintaining the churchʼs records to the synodical secretary. In 1927 the Institute was incorporated by interested individuals in the church to provide for the preservation of its records. In 1959 the Synod designated the Institute as its official repository.
Orphan Grain Train is a Christian volunteer network that shares personal and material resources with needy people in America and around the world. Grain Train volunteers gather donations of clothing, medical supplies, food, Christian literature, and other aid to meet real needs. The Orphan Grain Train movement is a loving response to Jesus Christ’s example as a servant and His love for us.
In response to increasing concerns on disproportionate debt-to-income realities for church workers and their families, MinistryFocus provides loan repayment assistance grants to pastors, teachers, directors of Christian education and other church workers of the LCMS. The purpose behind these grants is to help church workers and their families focus more on ministry and less on money, so that ministries flourish, faith is strengthened and the Gospel is proclaimed.
Future Ministries of the Month
If you would like to nominate an LCMS-affiliated ministry or agency (such as a Recognized Service Organization) to be a future LutheranFCU Ministry of the Month, please send your name, your contact information and the name of the organization to: email@example.com. Thank you.
